School History

The current school building has existed in Donard since 1954 with extensions in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. There was a major refurbishment in 2008. At present there are six mainstream classrooms, library, office, a school hall, staff room, resource room, learning support room and storerooms. Donard N.S. was amalgamated with Davidstown N.S. in 1968, while Seskin N.S. joined in 1972. In 2012 the gym was soundproofed. Blinds were fitted and a shed for indoor equipment was also put in place. In 2018 we were granted approval from the Department of Education to build an extra classroom
