Board of Management

Under the 1998 Education Act it is the duty of the Board of Management to manage the school on behalf of the Patron. The Patron of our school is the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin, Diarmuid Martin. The Board is accountable to the Patron and the Minister. The Board must uphold the characteristic spirit (ethos) of the school and is accountable to the Patron for so doing. The principal is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, including providing guidance and direction to the teachers and other staff of the school and is accountable for that management.

The Board representatives include two nominees of the patron, two parents of children enrolled in the school, the school principal and one other teacher and then two extra members who are proposed by the above six nominees.
